I was able to drive up to the 14,110 foot summit of Pikes Peak just outside of Colorado Springs after work today. I almost wasn’t going to because I’m ready to get home and stop living out of a hotel. But I’m really glad I went up there. I can thank my coworkers for telling me every day that I should make the trip up. I suggest anyone visiting CO to try and make it up to the summit of one of the fourteeners. But give yourself enough time (a couple days) to get acclimated at the lower elevations first.
